Show your wife you love her (1) Sunday 8th March 2020 'Husbands, love your wives.' Ephesians 5:25 NKJV Why does the Bible say, 'Husbands, love your wives...as Christ...loved the church and gave himself for her' (Ephesians 5:25 NKJV)? Because your wife needs to know you love her, think about her and include her in your plans, and that you consider her opinions, needs and desires. And if you don't tell her, she won't know it! So let's look at how Jesus loved the church, which began with twelve disciples who were flawed human beings, and learn how you should love your wife. He loved them unconditionally. Was it always easy? No. But instead of nagging his disciples about what they were or were not, he rejoiced, thinking about what they would become when his grace had worked in their lives. *IT WAS A RAINING DAY* It was raining heavily on a Monday morning when I heard a knock at my door, I opened. standing before me was a young man with a bushy hair, dirty shoe, well soaked by the rain, looking too unkept for my liking. Good morning, he greeted with humility , how may I help you? I replied in a displeasing manner. Please sir kindly help me with your umbrella if you have any, my journey is still very far from here, I promise to return it tomorrow morning. I looked at him for a while, suddenly some thoughts came into my mind. why would someone who's already soak be asking for an umbrella, what if he doesn't return it? I don't trust you, but I will give you, I said. But make sure you return it tomorrow as you have promised. I went in and got an old umbrella that i stopped using for months and gave to him. *THE DEAD EVANGELIST IN CHOIR ROBE!* Brother Clifford made it a duty upon himself that come sunshine and rain, he will be at the Train Station distributing Gospel Tracts to passengers as they board or leave the train! This he did faithfully for several years! One day at the church service after a rendition by the choir members in church, the choir was appreciated, praised and given a standing ovation! Brother Clifford, instead of being happy for them was very sad! He thought his soul winning efforts was not being acknowledged, rewarded or recognised by the church members and ministers! He also noticed that nobody from the station has met him to say thank you for what he has been faithfully doing over the years! Brother Clifford decided to abandon the trips to the Train Station!
